Deck Heads: My Daily Bad Habit
This January, I started a personal challenge called Deck Heads—a daily dive into weird character design on a blank deck of playing cards. I gave myself 15–30 minutes a day to draw one character with Posca markers and pens, using random shapes and a limited color palette as my only guide. No planning, no do-overs—just pure instinct and play. The characters turned out kinda ugly, kinda chaotic, and totally fun—hence the name. I ended up with 31 little freaks and filmed most of the process for IG. It was all about carving out space to practice, experiment, and embrace the strange.
